Deborah Annable - Principal
Having started dancing at a very young age, Deborah commenced her professional training aged 11 at the Royal Ballet School - London. After completing 5 years at White Lodge and 2 years at Upper School, she graduated aged 18.
Professionally Deborah has performed with the Royal Ballet (London), Birmingham Royal Ballet (Birmingham), Phantom of the Opera (Hamburg & Asia Tour), Matthew Bourne - New Adventure's (World Tour), European Ballet (UK Tour), National Ballet of Ireland (UK & Ireland Tour), Ballet Imaginaire (UK Tour), Stars In Concert (Berlin, Athens, Essen, Prague), Will Tucket's - Pinocchio (Royal Opera House), and was Dance Captain for Scottish Opera - Manon (UK Tour). Most recently Deborah performed in the Opening Ceremony at the MGM Las Vegas.
Deborah brings 14 years of teaching experience in Ballet, Jazz/Modern, Street, Pointe Work, Pas De Deux & Private Coaching and has also been assistant choreographer for The McMahon School of Dance. Deborah has also taken her teaching experience into Summer Schools in Yorkshire and was appointed Ballet Mistress at Living Dance Summer School in Malta. Deborah has been training dance students at Ballet Boost - Hull and has more recently gone into partnership to start her own Platinum Pro Dance Associates in Doncaster.
Deborah is very excited and honoured to be able to pass on her experience and enthusiasm to the amazing dance students of the Pirouette Dance Academy!
Deven Benson -
Ballet & Street Dance Teacher
Deven has been dancing for many years now and has most recently graduated from 3 years of professional training at SLP College in Leeds.
Deven’s performance credits include: Anything Goes – playing lead role Reno Sweeney, Move It (London), The Good Old Days (City Varieties Leeds), Sleeping Beauty – playing Lilac Fairy (Leeds) and Modeling for Wedding Fair’s across Yorkshire. Deven performed and was creative assistant for Pirouette Dance Academy's Show in 2016 and is currently working at Greenacres in Wales.
Deven has been teaching Ballet & Street Dance with Pirouette Dance Academy for 2 years and is looking forward to encourage our students to follow in her footsteps.
